Aaron Meighen | Investigator & Historian
Aaron’s interest in the paranormal stretches back to approximately 2005. His curiosity was first attracted to the subject by studying folklore and legends of ghosts and other supernatural beings from around the world. From the near-universality of such beliefs, he began to be convinced that experience of the otherworldly is rooted in something deeply intrinsic to the human condition, even if it is not supported by scientific or religious authorities.
Along with fellow team members Kyle Davis and Matt Ellis, he co-founded and co-lead a now-defunct organization called MONSTER, which conducted numerous investigations of legends and hauntings from folklore throughout east-central Ohio. MONSTER eventually teamed up with Shield Investigations, lead by Mark Robey, to handle several cases. The close working relationship persisted over the years and has recently lead to the unification of the two teams under the banner of The Ohio Paranormal Society.
Aaron is an IT Professional with approximately a decade of experience in the education, healthcare, and government sectors. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems from Western Governors University and numerous professional certifications. He is an avid reader, amateur writer, aficionado of tabletop roleplaying games, and videogamer.
